FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – May 18, 2005
The BSI POS Store & Forward acts as a classic ``store and forward'', capturing any text file from any POS terminal (with FTP), computer, network, or FTP server location, immediately forwarding it to another FTP server location and/or e-mail address, while retaining the original information for up to five days. FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol and is a very reliable and a widely used way of transferring information between computers and/or devices that support FTP.
Barrington Software and POS terminal partner, Datasym, will appear together at the National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show at McCormick Place in Chicago, May 21-24. Datasym (See http://www.datasym.com/html/DX890series.html) is located in Brantford, Ontario and has approximately 160,000 installed locations in North America.
Barrington Software will preview POS Store & Forward at the NRA show in booth #5779. The software provides the ability to receive duplicate reporting at both the unit and the home office for franchises or chains. Read more about POS Store & Forward at http://www.cooken.com/POSStoreAndForward.htm. The software is scheduled for release approximately June 1, 2005.
