Industry Has a Need for Simple, Powerful Labor Scheduling and Costing

BARRINGTON, ILLINOIS – August 11, 2004 –  “Food industry providers, Grocers, and retailers can now save money by scheduling employees based on expected sales or for specific jobs” said George Kotcher, President and CEO of Barrington Software Incorporated.

Schedule Based On Expected Sales

Just enter or import sales information and use the information to predict future sales and future scheduling needs, i.e., the number of employees for a shift.  The system tracks total sales figure per half-hour period.  These are retained until you delete them.  Based on (your) recommended number of employees required to adequately staff your business for a specified range of sales for the period, a number for each half hour is recommended when you submit previously saved sales figures for a day.   A report calculates the labor costs as a percentage of sales.  View http://www.cooken.com/Schedule.htm

Schedule for a Specific Job

Create a schedule based on a previous schedule or task or select available employees from  a drop down to plan for a specific job with exactly the resources you need for the time you need them.  Calculate total labor costs with the click of a button.

BSI Labor & Scheduling Uses CookenProâ Commercial Wizard for POS Import

BSI Labor & Scheduling features the same easy to use Wizard, available in Barrington Software’s flagship software application, CookenProâ Commercial.  The wizard allows an end user to specify the structure of sales information contained in text files to be imported into the application.  The wizards themselves together with the ability to receive a specification from another desktop make it possible for BSI Labor & Scheduling to understand and apply information from a broad variety of Point of Sale hardware without additional expensive programming.

Keep Company Information and Employee Information Secure

BSI Labor & Scheduling provides security for sensitive company and employee information.  An administrator can assign passwords to employees who will be allowed to access the BSI Labor & Scheduling System.  There are two levels of security: Administrators and Users.  Only Administrators are allowed to go to the Password Administration form.
