Barrington Software Incorporated announces the release of CookenPro 3.0  

BARRINGTON, ILLINOIS – July 25, 2002 - Barrington Software Incorporated announces the release of CookenPro 3.0, available in a Commercial or Home Version. CookenPro 3.0 can be purchased online at www.cooken.com.  Buyers use Barrington Software’s advanced online ordering system with a secure server. 

CookenPro 3.0 Commercial has complete inventory control, recipe and menu costing, and receivables functions. Physical inventory can be exported to Excel and opened in Excel or Pocket Excel, making it possible to use a hand held device to take inventory. Menu recipes can be viewed as well as printed with extended ingredients, making it ideal for caterers and other food professionals. Pictures, videos, and audio files can be stored with recipes. Menus, recipes, inventory, and physical inventory can be imported and exported, allowing the exchange of information and the easy update of information.  The nutrition analyzer is suitable for professional use, utilizing spreadsheet features to identify components in a menu plan.  CookenPro 3.0 Commercial maintains Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) information.

The new CookenPro 3.0 Home Version has many of the same features as the Commercial version, including viewing and printing extended ingredients, making it ideal for entertaining. The nutrition analyzer, based on the U.S. Department of Agriculture Nutrient Database Release 14, now allows the user to add to the database. Ingredients can be automatically linked if previously entered. The advanced search provides for searching not only by ingredients included or excluded in a recipe and by nutritional information but also now by Points.  The Home Version can be upgraded to CookenPro 3.0 Commercial at any time.

Both products are integrated with the Microsoft Office Suite allowing major applications to send and receive data to and from a variety of Office applications as well as handheld devices.

CookenPro 3.0 runs under Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT 4.0 Workstation, Windows 2000, Windows ME, and Windows XP.
